"App to create posts" means three different things, and most people find that out late. There is the editor, where you build each post by hand. There is the writing AI, which drafts the caption and leaves the visual to you. And there is the full generator, which delivers the carousel, caption and script ready to go. The best app depends on which of those three jobs you actually want to do, and on how much time your week leaves for it.

Both share the same limit: every post still comes out of your hands. Pick a template, swap the text, adjust the colors, export. Great for a special post. For posting every week, that is where the cycle of opening the editor, fiddling with the layout and closing without publishing lives. If you only need the words: ChatGPT and Copy.ai
ChatGPT has a free plan, and Go costs US$8 a month when you subscribe in the iPhone app. It handles captions, post ideas and customer replies. The Chat plan at Copy.ai gives you OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models for US$29 a month with 5 users, handy for a small team.
The detail nobody mentions: a writing AI publishes nothing. The text stays in the chat, and the visual, the image crop and the scheduling remain your job. You trade writer's block for an assembly line of your own. We did the full math in ZapPost vs ChatGPT.
